This is a very cool and fun watch by niche Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin inspired by the ‘Despicable Me’ movie series that features a dual disc system for hours and minutes that are presented as the Minion’s eyes.
Furthermore, the “mouth” of the face is a moonphase indicator..
The most intriguing design detail is the character’s spectacles, with real glasses carved from a sapphire crystal. It is impossible to predict the emotional state of the minion face as there are tens of thousands of different grimaces and facial expressions possible! Crazy? Maybe. Fun? Most definitely!
The steel case measures 40mm and the watch is in as new as it has been unworn since its 2021 launch in 38 pieces.
There is a winding and time-setting crown on the right side and a moonphase adjuster on the left. This Minion comes with the original guarantee, booklet and moonphase pusher and is fitted with the original denim strap and buckle.
The watch houses an ETA based movement that has a Konstantin Chaykin module added, which can be seen through the sapphire case back, and it has been fully checked by our watchmaker and is still under warrantee of Konstantin Chaykin.
